Job Description

Scope for PeopleSoft FSCM modules:
Accounts Payable, Purchasing, ePro, eSettlements, Accounts Receivable, Billing, General Ledger, Project Costing, Asset Management, Treasury, Cash Management
Role: Functional Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Gather, review and analysis of customer requirements
  • Conducting CRP sessions with business user groups
  • Fit Gap Analysis for new functionalities
  • Prepare functional specifications for new / modified functionality to be implemented and present the same to the business users/SMEs
  • Execute Pre and Post-upgrade functional steps
  • Finalize configuration values for the new functionalities in consultation with Business SMEs
  • Reviewing configuration & setup values in PeopleSoft
  • Configure the system (or assist Business team in configuring the system)
  • Validate the System Integration Test Plan /Scripts
  • Train core Business user/s from each business area/PS module. (Train-the-Trainer approach).
  • Knowledge of one or more of the core P2P/O2C/Financial accounting areas is a must

Role: Techno-Functional Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Gather, review and technical analysis of customer requirements
  • Ability to analyze the existing system and perform Technical Fit Gap Analysis for new functionalities
  • Ability to analyze the existing system and perform Keep-Drop Analysis
  • Translate functional specifications into technical design
  • Prepare technical specifications for new / modified functionality to be implemented and for retrofitted objects
  • Provide functional inputs to technical developers
  • Review Code changes and validate standards
  • Review Unit test Scripts and Unit Test logs
  • Designing, developing and implementing modules customizations.
  • Should be able to identify the data and workflows and Integration points.
  • Should be able to do technical analysis while preparing the prototypes.
  • Should be able to Design and code and configure modules.
  • Should be able to create, monitor & schedule batch processes, including PeopleSoft JobSets
  • Should be able to monitor, debug and address any scheduled job failures.
  • Strong issue resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQRs and should be able to evaluate for right solutions.
  • Knowledge of Application Engines, Application Packages
  • Knowledge of AWE, IB will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Certification and license checking
  • PeopleSoft/Oracle/Third-Part Software download and installation
  • PIA deployment and test
  • Environment Manager and Change assistant/PUM configuration
  • PeopleTools Patch, Application Maintenance Packs and bundles installation
  • Non-Prod and Prod instance creation and management
  • SQL and server Performance tuning
  • REN server Administration
  • IB configurations/SMTP/LDAP/nVision/Crystal/SSO/SSL configuration and maintenance
  • App/Web/Process Scheduler/Attachment Server domains creations and administration
  • PeopleSoft services and Incident management
  • PeopleTools patches installation
  • PS to PS and PS to Third Party Interfaces configurations
  • Case creation and follow-up with Oracle Support
  • Project Migration and External objects migration and maintenance (SQR, COBOL, NVISIONs etc.)
  • Tuxedo/WebLogic Administration
  • Report Repository Management
  • Day to day PSADMIN activities (Process checks, cache clearance, server bounce etc.)
  • Batch Process monitoring and troubleshooting

Role: PeopleSoft Tester
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Should have strong knowledge in PeopleSoft application and PS FSCM modules
  • Should have strong knowledge in testing methods & concepts
  • Should have knowledge of defect management tool (QC)
  • Experience in functional testing of PS FSCM modules
  • Test requirement analysis
  • Create test cases and test scenarios for customized and delivered PeopleSoft applications
  • Execution of test cases and defect reporting
  • Knowledge of Test Automation and Performance Testing is an added advantage

 

Role: Performance Tester
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Business Scenarios and Test cases.
  • Preparing detailed test plan and master test plan.
  • Developing simulation scripts using the Load Runner and/or any other Performance Test Automation Tools using the suitable protocols.
  • Create Test scenario to simulate the desired load using Performance Center.
  • Executing Smoke Test, Load Test, and Endurance Test to validate the scripts, environment and test data.
  • Executing test runs to find the scalability and response time of the identified transactions.
  • Monitoring the various components and identifying the bottlenecks in performance.
  • Preparing the preliminary test report and Comparison report of the base lined results.
  • Preparing final executive summary report at the end of the engagement.
  • Preparing the End of Test Report and sharing it with the clients
